Hillside Trail - Baldwin Hills is an alternative, switchbacking, accessible trail to the the popular straight-up-the-hill Steps Trail in the Baldwin Hills as part of the Part to Playa Trail.The trail provides panoramic views from the top of a 511-foot peak. Restored native habitat and seasonal displays of native wildflowers with bird and wildlife viewing add to the scenic quality of this section of the Park to Playa Trail.
From the 405 southbound, take the Jefferson Boulevard exit, turn left onto Jefferson Boulevard. From the 405 northbound, take the Jefferson Boulevard exit, turn right onto Jefferson Boulevard. Limited street parking is available along Jefferson Boulevard but the main visitor center and staging area is at 6300 Hetzler Road in Culver City off of Jefferson Boulevard.
The Link – Baldwin Hills Parklands shuttle bus service transports park visitors from the Metro Expo La Cienega Station to Kenneth Hahn State Recreational Area and the Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook.
- The Parklands Shuttle operates 8 am – 6:00 pm Saturdays, Sundays & Holidays.
- Rides are .25 cents one way. The shuttle is free for Seniors and children under 5.
- The shuttle has 3 routes with stops located at the La Cienega/Jefferson Metro bus stop adjacent to the Expo Station, Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook, and Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area.
- Shuttles run on a 20-minute route, is airconditioned, and ADA accessible.
