The Cheeseboro Canyon Trail offers 1.33 mi. of nearly flat trail that takes you through oak savanna with large old valley oaks, then coast live oak woodland, and then chaparral before ascending to Sheep Corral Trail; the trail continues for 3.56 into Ventura County. Enjoy connections to other trails in the Simi Hills that offer great small, medium, and large loop outings.

From the 101, take the exit for Chesebro Road. Head north on Palo Comado Canyon Road. Turn right onto Chesebro Road at the 4-way stop sign and head north approx. 1 mi. Turn right (east) into the Cheeseboro Canyon Trailhead and entrance road. Travel to the end of the entrance road.
The trail heads east from the parking lot past the restrooms. See http://www.nps.gov/samo/planyourvisit/cheeseboropalocomado.htm for more information.
