As the name suggests, this trail snakes up a small knoll off of the Pacific Coast Highway, west of Topanga Canyon Boulevard. The trail runs immediately below Topanga Creek and fronts Topanga Beach to the south. The short, quarter-mile hike rewards hikers with great views of Topanga Beach and Pacific Ocean. Restrooms and a picnic area offer hiking amenities for pedestrian use. A walkway underpass is available at the staging area to cross the PCH.

From Topanga Canyon Boulevard, head south towards the PCH. Make a right onto the PCH and continue for about 50 feet. Safely park along the PCH in the permitted areas. The trailhead is located near the yellow gate immediately east of the Reel Inn restaurant.
