This trail connects from Mulholland Drive down to Hub Junction, the intersection of Eagle Rock Fire Road, Eagle Springs Fire Road and Temescal Ridge Trail, a segment of the Backbone Trail. Fire Road Thirty intersects Garapito Trail and Bent Arrow Trail at the low point along the route. Use Eagle Rock Fire Road and Garapito Trail to create a loop back to Mullholland Drive.

Fire Road Thirty can be accessed from the staging area at the end of Reseda Blvd in Marvin Braude Mulholland Gateway Park via Mulholland Drive (fire road). From the 101, exit at Reseda Blvd in Encino and head south. Turn left to stay on Reseda Blvd and travel 3.5 miles to the end. Parking will be on the right before the roundabout. Follow fire road past gate to trail.
